Obituary for Patricia Ann Tavis

Patricia Ann Keithley (Wright) Tavis was born July 20th, 1952 and passed away July 20th, 2020 after a lengthy battle with COPD. Patty was preceded in death by her parents Earl James Keithley and Luetta Ann Keithley (McGinnis) and her sister Wandola (Keithley) Maynard and her son Travis Wayne Wright. Patty is survived by her sisters Susan (Keithley) Ayers and Delores Keithley and her brother Jimmie Keithley.

Patty married her high school sweetheart, Jack Wright for 24 years, having 2 children, Denice Ann (Wright) Hein and Travis Wayne Wright. They invited nieces, Christina Wright and Stacy (Wright) Messmer, into their home for a short time and a special cousin into their lives Mary Ellen (McGinnis) Roberts that became like another daughter. She also married James Tavis for 9 years and gained 3 grandchildren from this marriage as part of a blended family.

Patty will be lovingly missed by nephews Michael Maynard and family, Scott Maynard and family, Dustin Maynard and family, Joseph Ayers and family, and Eric Wright (and family) 22 grand nieces/nephews, 8 grandchildren and many lifelong and dear friends.

Patty filled her life with playing softball, volleyball and riot board, coaching Denice in volleyball, basketball and softball. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She loved short travel trips and made friends wherever she went. Patty also loved to spoil her grandchildren and will always be remembered for her smile, her laughter and her loving and caring nature.
