The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Clyde’s memory to West Lenexa SDA Church or to Wyandotte Masonic Lodge #3.

Clyde L. Clark, 94, a lifetime resident of Kansas City, Kansas died Jan. 7, 2019. Clyde graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946. Clyde retired from Allied Van Lines and North American Van Lines after working for 40 years, first as a bookkeeper and later as a sales estimator. He was a member of Wyandotte Masonic Lodge #3. A faithful follower of Jesus, he was a member of West Lenexa Seventh Day Adventist Church. Clyde was a good son, a good husband, a good father, a good grandfather, a good uncle, a good friend, and a good fisherman. Yes, Clyde loved to fish! He loved the time he spent at Wyandotte County Lake. On his wall, he had a plaque of the Fisherman’s Prayer which reads: ‘God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day and when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray, when in the Lord’s safe landing net, I’m peacefully asleep, that in his mercy I be judged as good enough to keep’. Clyde was a keeper.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents: Leslie Clyde Clark and Irene (Cramer) Clark; brothers Lee and Jack Clark; wives Ruth (Lewallen) Clark and Frances (Pat) Clark; his daughter Linda (Clark) Hart; grandson Randy Hart; and daughter-in-law Mary (Sontheimer) Clark. He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Terry Clark and wife Diane; grandchildren: Kelly Clark, Kevin Clark, Brenda (Hart) Lannatti; great-granddaughters Brooke and Hannah Lannatti; sister-in-law Patti Clark, and his special friend Esther Stack.
